Position
Responsible for developing and realizing a new business opportunity, with main focus on the B2B segment in the European market
Proposing and delivering annual sales plans and contributing to the annual marketing plans for the new business proposition
Realizing the targets for the sales performance and contribution margin, by actively approaching existing customers and by acquiring new customers
Building customer relations by giving technical support, resulting in product and service agreements which meet customer expectations
Steering a new business project team with cross functional colleagues from Marketing, R&D, QA and Supply Chain
Monitoring trends and developments, related to the market and competition, and dealing adequately with opportunities and threats
Reporting to the Sales Director of the sub Business Unit Salt Specialties

In order to realize a new opportunity for this B2B market, we are currently searching for a professional Business Development Manager.
Profile
Academic level in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering or equivalent
Several years of work experience in Sales and/or Technical Sales, preferably in the B2B Food Industry
Experience with both direct sales and indirect sales, through agents and distributors
Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to build a new business from scratch
Comfortable working and travelling in an international business environment
Strong communication skills, with fluency in English and a good command of Dutch
Personal skills: self motivated, results driven, customer focus, integrity, convincing, hands on and team player
